A woman has been awarded £18,000 in compensation after breaking her leg during a girls night out at the pub.
The woman was outside in the smoking area of the pub when her stiletto heel of her shoe got stuck in a crack on the concrete ground.
She insisted that she was not drunk stating that there "was very poor lighting in the smoking area."
She said: "My heel got caught in the concrete and I went back through a door in a disused toilet block that should have been locked. It swung open, I went back and my leg stayed where I was."
As a result, the woman snapped her tibia and fibula in her right leg and was taken to hospital.
Since the accident she required three operations on her leg and is now beginning to walk.
However, due to the severity of her personal injury, she was unable to work for over six weeks.
She received compensation after filing an accident claim against the pub who admitted liability.
