The family of a 14 year old girl who died from swine flu are filing a compensation claim against two hospitals on the basis that they committed medical negligence.
The school girl from Pune, India was the first in the country to die from the virus after doctors dailed to diagnose the deadly flu on time.
According to a lawyer representing the family, one hospital who carried out a blood test diagnosed the girl with a lung infection stating that they had nothing to worry about.
The girl was later transferred to another hospital who diagnosed the virus but it was too late.
