Nationwide offers UK's lowest personal loan rate

Nationwide's customers are being offered the lowest interest in the UK for personal loans at just 7.7 per cent typical APR.

The offer, which began on 6 August this year, applies to the banks current account customers of Personal Loans between £5,000 and £14,000.

The rate is the lowest personal loan rate in the UK, meaning that Nationwide is on top of all the high street banks and supermarket.

Chris Rhodes of Nationwide said: "Nationwide continues to be competitive in the personal loan market and with the introduction of this market leading headline rate of 7.7 per cent typical APR, beating what;s being offered by supermarkets and high street banks."

Personal loans can be used for a number of purposes such as carrying out home improvements, funding for a new car, covering wedding costs or to consolidate other debts.
