It is safe to use credit cards abroad, it has been revealed.
According to Apacs, the UK payments association, purachsing goods abroad by using a credit card is "probably one of the safest ways" of buying items.
The firm stated that credit cards cover more protection than any other means, such as carrying cash, or using a debit card.
This is because the credit card comes under customer protection under the Consumer Credit Act which enables customers to be reimbursed in the case of purchasing faulty, or undelivered goods priced between £100 to £30,000.
However, credit card holders are being advised to compare credit cards before hand if they want to avoid facing a large debt.
