Collision between bus and car kills one and injures 13

A woman has died and 13 people have been injured as a result of a road accident between a double decker bus and a car.

The accident, which resulted in the bus crashing into a ditch, occured on the A47 in Cambridgeshire, causing the death of the driver of the car who is believed to have died at the scene.

13 others required medical treatment after suffering from personal injuries.

One woman was taken by air ambulance after suffering from a fractured pelvis while another was hospitalised after suffering from neck and back injuries.

Six other victims also required hospital treatment while the other five were treated at the scene.

Police are still investigating the cause of the collision and are calling for anyone who may have witnessed the accident.

It is currently unknown whether those injured on the bus and the family of the driver of the car will be filing a personal injury claim.
