Hit and run victim calls for witnesses

A victim of a hit and run is calling for witnesses to step forward after he was left suffering from a number of personal injuries.

The man was riding his motorcycle when a car, believed to be a black Astra, collided into him after making a sudden and unexpected U-turn on the road.

The vehicle hit the rider head on before it drove off leaving him unconcious.

As a result, the man was hospitalised and suffered from whiplash injury, a fractured knee and severe bruising. He may also have a torn tendon in his knee and may require surgery and may be unable to return to work for months.

He is calling for any witnesses who may have seen the accident on May 11th on the A6514 at around 6.20 pm.
