A teacher who suffered severe personal injuries as a result of a car accident is fighting to receive £500,000 in compensation, it has been revealed.
The swimming teacher had collided head on into a Ford Transit van in November 2004 and had suffered from a broken leg, arm and nose and is permanently scarred after receiving cuts to her face, arms and legs.
She is also suffering from permanent brain damage as a result of the accident.
The van driver, 21 year old Joseph Reid, who had been 17 at the time had been said to have been racing with two other van drivers before hitting the teachers Fiat Panda at 55mph.
With the help of injury lawyers, she is now fighting for £500,000 in compensation for her injuries.
