Son who beat parents to death on suicide watch

The son who had beaten his parents to death after claiming he was “just tired of them” has been put on suicide watch, it has been revealed.

In January this year, Michael Singreen, 28 had beaten his father, Harry Singreen to death. His mother, Shirley Singreen had also been severely beaten and was rushed to hospital for her personal injuries.

Michael Singreen had been arrested at the scene for first degree murder for killing his lawyer father.

Just last week, Michael had heard that his mother, a personal injury lawyer too had died because of the injuries.

He “was distraught” in finding that his mother had died according to his attorney.

Michaels sister, Elizabeth Singreen said that he had been struggling with "depression, alcoholism, anxiety and general social malaise" for years but this was his "first violent outburst” against his parents.

On Monday this week, Michael Singreen had been ordered by a magistrate’s judge to be placed in the parish prison’s psychiatric ward where he is to be kept under supervision on suicide watch.
