Firm calls for government funding after 4 years of no profit

A firm, who has admitted that it has not made any profit for four years, (bankruptsy) has started a protest to call for government funding, it has been revealed.

The electric van making Birmingham-based firm, LDV had been refused a £30 million loan by the government and has began a protest where only eight people have joined.

Derek Simpson, joint general secretary of the Unite union said: "To talk about the relatively small amount of money compared to the billions in banks - a few million to this particular company could see the survival of these 900 jobs and the thousands in the supply chain."
