Six of my friends went on holiday recently.
They all took just over £300 each with them as spending money for a weeks worth in Spain.
Altogether, thats over £1800.
Thing is, because none of them had a credit card, and didn't want to use their own debit cards in the case of being charged extra for using it abroad, they all decided to take it in cash.
To me that's just a bit of a silly idea, to take that much in cash...what if you were robbed on the first day?
Although it may be covered under your travel insurance policy, it would still ruin your holiday wouldn't it?
Oh well, luckily they weren't. I'd rather stick to a purchasing a credit card as advised by many experts, or taking my debit card just to be on the safe side and enjoy my holiday without worrying about anything.
