A man has received £15,000 in compensation after suffering from personal injuries from an accident at work, it has been revealed.
In January 2006, a 47 year old city welder had fractured his arm after he fell from steel steps at a recycling firm in Plymouth.
The injury was so bad that he required surgery to place a metal plate in his right arm and as a result, he had been unable to work for over two months and was left permanently scarred.
After filing an accident claim against the firm, the defendant denied liability for his personal injuries.
Yet with the help of injury lawyers, the firms had agreed to award him a total of £15,000 in compensation through an out of court settlement.
