Laser eye surgery customers unaware of risks

After ongoing warnings from the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) on the risks of laser eye surgery, an investigation carried out by Which? revealed that over 50 per cent of the clinics offering the treatment in Somerset failed to inform their patients regarding its risks.

The firm stated that over 50 per cent of the clinics investigated had given “unsatisfactory advice.”

A spokesperson for the firm said: “Some high-street clinics are giving unsatisfactory advice about the risks of laser eye surgery, and pressurising customers into treatment that costs much more than the advertised prices.”
