A man has filed a no win no fee claim after suffering from severe personal injuries when a piece of wood had pierced his abdomen whist at work.

The 51 year old, who had been working as a trainee for a furniture firm, was working on a faulty machine when it threw a piece of wood at him.

The piece of wood had pierced his abdomen and punctured his bowl and he was kept in the high dependency ward for 11 days and had 18 inches of his bowel removed.
