NHS blunders once again

Six cancer patients have finally won their battle of compensation after the NHS taken away their hopes of fathering children.

The patients had stored their sperm cells at an NHS hospital after they had been warned that chemotherapy could damage their fertility.

However the hospitals freezer broke down killing the cells.

Yet when a compensation claim had been filed, a County Court found that the men were not eligible receive payment through the NHS as the loss was not considered to be a personal injury.

Regardless of the hospital failing to protect the cells after assuring the men that it had special ability to preserve the cells, it had denied it liability.
