Man suffers head injuries after accident
I was meant to be going out for a drink with a friend of mine for an hour or two but she took ages getting ready, and then took even longer to come to mine. And when she finally did come, she said she witnessed an accident and she was so excited about it. She said how she had to stay there and give a little statement and speak to the police about what happened for a while. I thought she was being a little bit of a drama queen the way she described it. But yeah, apparently it was really bad.She said the car had been smashed up by a van who was speeding while going round the roundabout and crashed into the Golf as they both attempted to get off at the same exit. She said the Golf literally bent into a C shape.. That must have hurt the owner of the car a lot though, I remember when I accidently tapped the lamp post outside my house during my attempt to park in the drive... it sounded like a little bang, followed by a grinding noise.. that was me failing to realise i'd actually hit it.But anyway, it was strange when she told me that the driver of the Golf was fine. He just experienced a few cuts and bruises but the van driver on the otherhand suffered head andwhiplash injuries after smashing his head into the windscreen as a result of not wearing a seat-belt.
