Music enthusiasts planning to attend the Glastonbury Festival are being advised to check that their car insurance covers any valuables they may leave in their vehicle.
According to USwitch.com, about 128,000 enthusiasts will be travelling to the festival by car, and with them, a majority would take iphones, ipods, sat navs etc.
However, according to the website, 60 per cent of insurers offer a maximum cover of £100 on valuable items left in vehicles which means a majority of the items will not be covered under the policy.
Spokesperson Mark Monteiro of the price comparison website said: “Placing all your valuables in a car or tent could very well exempt you from cover with every insurance policy you own.
Our advice to motorists is to check all policy details before getting into the car, and then enjoy the music with peace of mind.”
