A young man is suing a 69 year old after suffering from multiple personal injuries from a road accident, it has been revealed.
In 2006, motorcyclist, James Pile, who was 18 at the time of the accident, suffered from severe injuries which left him “similar to a paraplegic” after being thrown 20 feet into the air when colliding with a Vauxhall Astra.
The driver of the Astra, Maurice Hill, 69 believed that the road was a dual carriageway and had pulled out in the way of Mr Pile.
As a result Mr Pile was left needing “considerable care” for the rest of his life.
He filed a no win no fee claim of at least £300,000 against the 69 year old to recover costs.
Mr Pile’s solicitor said: “Compensation will be necessary, not only to meet James's considerable care needs for the remainder of his life, but also to meet his ongoing accommodation, equipment and transport needs."
