A Russian woman has received nearly $60,000 in compensation after a wrong diagnosis lead to the amputation of her leg, it has been revealed.
The single mum had been injured in a car accident where doctors had wrongly claimed that her knee joint had been dislocated. They applied a plaster bandage which caused the restricted blood circulation to trigger the loss of the tissues on her leg.
Her injury lawyer said: “When the doctor removed the plaster bandage, he found the boiled meat effect underneath. In order to save the woman’s life, the doctors had to amputate her leg. She has had three surgeries, which made her a disabled person.”
